From day 1, Drew and I knew we had something special. We both love a challenge, and "being settled" is just not in our vocabulary. We are always looking for the next project to tackle together, and in 2019, we decided to find land and build our dream farm.  Maddy has been riding horses her entire life and has always aspired to live on a farm. Drew, on the other hand, was a water bug and grew up skiing and fishing on Saluda Lake.

We have spent the last 2 years transforming wooded acreage into our dream hobby farm. Our focus is rescuing animals in need and providing them a forever home. We truly feel like we hit the lottery with our property, and we want to be able to share it with people like you, so we created The Hive! You may not think that farm and lake life can be enjoyed together, but we are here to tell you that it can be done, and it's AWESOME! We want to share our journey with you and give you a taste of what it is like living on a hobby farm, all while enjoying the relaxation and fun that lake life brings.  We want to offer you not just a comfortable place to lay your head at night, but a one-of-a-kind experience!
