Welcome to The Hive at Addison Farms – The Concept

We are FINALLY ready to share this project with you and we could not be more excited! So, let me start from the beginning…

Drew and I have been dreaming of this project since the day we closed on our farm – April 2018. After several months of searching for the perfect spot to call home, we stumbled upon what is now Addison Farms. We knew this property was special from the moment we laid eyes on it. While not everyone agreed with us (our parents thought we were crazy!) Drew and I had the vision, and that was enough for us. Our property was completely wooded, and to be honest, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into - I can now see why our families thought we were nuts! Fast forward 2 years, and we have somehow managed to turn 14-acres of woods into our dream hobby farm. Now that you have a little background, let’s get started. From the beginning, we knew we had a unique piece of property. It is not every day you find a hobby farm on a beautiful lake. Saluda Lake is a 330-acre lake just 9 miles outside of Downtown Greenville. While Drew grew up water skiing and fishing out here, there are many Greenville residents who have never even heard of Saluda – me being one of them! We truly feel like we have the best of both worlds, and we want to share that with all of you. Which brings us to The Hive – a tiny home shipping container nestled right on the water’s edge.

We want to give people the opportunity to step into our world and experience life on a hobby farm while enjoying the relaxation and luxury of lakefront living. The Hive is all about the experience – there is a lake view from every room, a private dock with access to kayaks and paddleboards, combined with the chance to spend time with our rescue animals, explore the property or even have a private dinner in the garden. The Hive at Addison Farms is a place to unwind and reconnect and offers a little something for everyone. We hope to see you soon!

We have carefully designed every inch of this modern container home to provide guests with a unique place to relax that is comfortable and cozy.

We could not be more excited to begin this journey with you and to share this process from start to finish. The Hive is a true reflection of Drew and me.
